“I literally grew up in ballet shoes completing, and loving, RAD classical grades from age five through to university competition teams, and teaching ballet at weekends. Dance has always been an instrumental part of who I am, so it’s no surprise that I ended up drawn to the place where physiotherapy and performance meet. My academic journey started at Exeter University with BA honours in Exercise and Sport Science followed by a Master’s in Physiotherapy at City St George’s, University of London.

Having spent so much time around dancers, I know how easily injuries can get pushed aside when there’s a show to do. That’s what pulls me towards performance physiotherapy, understanding not just the injury, but the demands and mindset of the person carrying it. More importantly how crucial preventative treatment is to optimise health, performance, longevity and overall wellbeing. I love working closely with dancers and performers, being a part of this journey.

I’m still teaching ballet alongside my clinical work and that’s a big part of why this feels so personal to me. I know exactly what getting back on stage means to someone and the journey to becoming the absolutely best performer you can be.”
