MDH breathing Co-ordination.
Unlock the full potential of your voice with MDH Breathing Co-ordination, the result of decades of research and collaboration with leading experts in the field. This approach is designed to optimise your respiratory function, reduce unnecessary effort, and fully integrate your body with your breath — because your vocal instrument is far more than just your larynx and abdomen.
Our sessions help coordinate your muscles, joints, and breath, opening up your voice and making speaking or singing feel effortless. Over time, these techniques become second nature, allowing you to focus entirely on your delivery and performance.
Whether you’re a professional performer or simply want to speak or sing with greater ease, MDH Breathing Co-ordination will give you the tools to breathe, move, and perform with confidence and control.

We take a detailed history of your voice use, symptoms and voice or performance demands, then assess breathing patterns, posture, ribcage and spine movement, abdominal and pelvic mechanics, and general movement control. From there we build a tailored plan to support healthier, more efficient voice use. Your treatment can include vocal massage, manual therapy for the breathing system and even rehab for old ankle injuries. Believe it or not an old ankle sprain or pulled hamstring can impact your larynx.

Our primary focus is the physical and movement side – breathing, posture, muscular coordination and endurance. We are happy to liaise with your vocal coach or clinical team so that physical changes and technical work support each other.
We do listen to you sing where appropriate, and can provide guidance on physical changes you can make to your body and breathing to aide voice use. Technical singing teaching is handed over to our professional network or to your singing teacher.
